When UV vs GG mini bouts are on, L3/bout training will be brought forward to 4-6pm.
To make these bouts work we have to help each other out and take on N.S.O (Non Skating Official) positions such as Penalty Timers (Sin Bin), Penalty Trackers, Scorekeepers, Scoreboard/Card Operators and Timekeeping. This is compulsory training to be eligible to play and helps skaters to gain a better understanding of all aspects of the game. We would all love to turn up, skate and go home but we really need to pull together on this. All levels are welcome to come and watch and cheer them on. Good Luck to all the teams!!! *Friends and Family are also welcome to attend these mini-bouts. We will ask for a small donation at the door to help cover the cost of refs, venue and medics.
To ensure the safety of our skaters, we need to have a qualified medic at our mini bouts in the case of an emergency (hopefully won’t need to use them!). We have regulars we use for main bouts, but have to hire them for minimum of 4 hours which is costly and not needed for these events. Are you, or do you know of anyone who may be willing and able to donate their skill and time for an hour on these dates? Please let us know ASAP.

TREASURERS NOTES
Monthly Fees
Our monthly training fees are now $40 per month. All monthly fees are to be paid to Cougarrr at the beginning of each new month (alternately Ruby Slitter). This keeps our fees as simple as possible and if everyone pays a monthly fee we can retain this price, otherwise its will need to return to $10 per session (which adds up as you progress and train 2-3 times per week). We have more members now and with extra training sessions/off skates training available, if everyone pays their monthly fees we can keep it affordable which benefits everyone. Don’t forget to tick off your attendance at every session.
Fundraising
So we can keep our training fees low, we are looking for fundraising ideas. If you have any ideas how the league could do some extra fundraising, let us know! We are looking for new suggestions, so get your thinking caps on Derby Divas and bring your ideas. We are looking for a fundraising coordinator to take on this role shortly... think it is something you have a strength in?? See Cougarrr
